Nation’s Premier Travel and Youth Sports Destination Teams Up with Major League Baseball to Deliver Once-in-a-Lifetime Experiences for Athletes, Families, and Fansement Across Campus
Atlanta, GA (July 22, 2025) — LakePoint Sports, the premier travel and youth sports destination in the country, will host the eighth and final Champions Weekend of the year, GeoSurfaces Futures Weekend, from July 25 to 27. Headlining the weekend is Prep Baseball’s Future Games, the most anticipated summer scouting event for uncommitted Class of 2027 prospects across the United States and Canada.
LakePoint’s Baseball Village features eight Major League-sized fields outfitted with GeoSurfaces turf, the leading full-service turf product in the country. Installed in 2024 across all baseball fields, GeoSurfaces turf delivers an enhanced playing experience, with ball-bounce that mimics real grass and dirt while remaining playable immediately after rain. The specialized turf also reduces surface temperature by 10 to 15 degrees, even during Georgia’s peak summer heat. GeoSurfaces representatives will be onsite throughout the weekend, showcasing their turn-key sports surfacing solutions.
This year’s Future Games runs July 23 through 26 and features top uncommitted players from over 40 states and Canada. The 2025 class includes 55 players ranked in the top 100 nationally and 18 players who are currently ranked No. 1 in their respective states. Last year’s event drew more than 425 college coaches from across the country — the most in the event’s history — and this year is expected to follow suit.

The event kicks off with a showcase workout on Wednesday where position players will run 60s, take batting practice, and be evaluated at their primary defensive position. Each team will then compete in three games throughout the weekend in front of a national audience of scouts and recruiters.
The Future Games isn’t just about the games — it’s about the platform. Players will benefit from unmatched exposure and media coverage through Prep Baseball’s national network, with video, analysis, and highlights reaching audiences across the country. The entire event is structured to maximize athlete visibility and help athletes take the next step in their recruiting journey.
The weekend also includes the Senior Future Games, spotlighting uncommitted 2026 players, and the Junior Future Games, featuring top 2029 and 2030 prospects. The alumni list speaks for itself, with former participants including MLB standouts Jackson Holliday, Jackson Jobe, Jackson Merrill, and James Wood.

Wednesday’s workout day Watch Party will begin at 11 a.m., with game day broadcasts on Thursday (8:30 p.m.), Friday (1 p.m.), and Saturday (12 p.m.).
